先日のブログに書いたように、３日が仲の良いNY在住の友人の誕生日だったので、Birthday Wishes（誕生日のお祝い）のメッセージを送りました。ただ、日本の３日に送らないと、翌日だと私の誕生日になっちゃうから〜と、勝手な理由でまだアメリカは２日だけど、３日の夕方に送ったのでした。するとこんな返信が。。。

Thanks for your wishes and happy birthday to you!!!  For the next several hours, it’s my birthday where I am and your birthday where you are.  I think that’s pretty interesting–you could say, in actuality, we share a birthday, just on different sides of the world.

「We share a birthday」とは、なんとも嬉しい響きでした＾＾
